A Wood Energy Technology Transfer (WETT) inspection is a comprehensive review of wood burning system that fully or partially heats a home.
In Northern Ontario many people choose wood burning systems to fully or partially heat their homes. While wood burning systems are often cheaper than other fuel sources, they also poses a greater risk of fire. Many insurance companies require that wood burning heating systems be inspected by a WETT certified inspector.
Base Fee: $200
Suitable for: wood-burning stoves and flue pipes, factory-built chimneys, masonry chimneys, masonry fireplaces, factory-built fireplaces, fireplace inserts and hearth-mounted stoves.
Includes:
- Inspection of the wood burning heating system.
- Inspection of the ventilation system.
- Certified inspection certificate to satisfy insurance.
- Detailed report with photos.
